DealChicken says it’s important to dress properly—make sure to wear long pants and wear heeled boots. The mandatory helmets will be supplied. Some of the games for riders include Treasure Hunt, Egg and Spoon and a Ribbon Race.

      Games for all skill level include:

      Follow the leader:

      Treasure Hunt: Riders start in center of the ring. Instructor gives riders a list of hidden items and a bag to hang from saddle. On command, riders proceed at a walk to gather items. The winner is the first to collect all items and return to starting area.

      Egg and Spoon: Riders starts in a single file track. Riders are handed egg and spoon. Instructor directs riders to perform various movements at a specific gait while balancing the egg. Riders who lose egg go to center of ring. The winner is the last rider with egg and spoon.

      Ribbon Race: Riders break into paired teams. Instructor hands a 3 foot crepe paper ribbon to each team. Each team holds one end of the ribbon while riding at the instructor's direction. The winner is the last team with an unbroken ribbon.

      Ball Toss: Riders start at one end of ring. Instructor gives each rider a ball. Riders must go to opposite end of ring and toss ball into a bucket and come back to the starting line. The winner is the ride whose ball goes into the bucket and makes it back to the starting line first.

      Saddle Up Race: Students are divided into pairs. Each team lines up with a bridled horse. One student will saddle and ride the horse. The leaders will hold and lead the horse. Instructor establishes a start/finish line. Horses are at the line, saddles are at the opposite end of the ring. Riders line up to saddles. The leaders line up next to the horses. Upon the signal, the leader leads the horse to the end of ring. The rider saddles it and mounts. The leader leads the pair back. The winner is the first person to finish.
