This shop offers retro candy and ice cream, and some of the candies cost just a penny! Today save 50% off your selection when you take advantage of the special deal. Established in June 2012 by Phil and Carol Wharton, Music City Candy is located at 811 E Dickerson Pike, between Spring and Cleveland Streets. It's open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

A candy store, owned by David Bradley, was flooded by a storm in 1889. His stock of taffy was soaked with salty Atlantic Ocean water. When a young girl requested some taffy, David jokingly offered his "salt water taffy". The young girl bought the candy and David's mother loved the name, thus the name salt water taffy came into existence.
