Organized in 1963, the Oak Ridge Civic Ballet Association (ORCBA) is the oldest continuously chartered non-profit dance organization in Tennessee. They perform at the Oak Ridge High School Performing Arts Center, on Oak Ridge Turnpike.

Perhaps the best dancing in The Nutcracker takes place near the end of the ballet when the characters visit the Land of the Sugar Plum Fairy. Dancers from across the world entertain Clara and company. This fan favorite showcase of dance takes up much of the second half of the production.
