Specializing in wines such as pinot gris and edelweiss, Tracy and Edward Mahlstadt opened Dale Valley Vineyard on 7/7/07, a number that's been lucky for patrons searching for award-winning wines and weekly live music. Located in Stuart, about 30 miles west of Des Moines, Dale Valley Vineyard and Winery was awarded Cityview's Best Local Iowa Day Trip for 2009. A recent renovation, including the addition of a second deck, ensures plenty of space to take in the idyllic views.
